THE BARDEN FAMILY
Bernice Kirk from Canada and Sally Edwards in the UK are
researching the Barden family. The
Canadian connection came when Joseph Reuben (Edwin's son and Bernice's
grandfather) emigrated in
March 1911. Edwin was born in Bow Brickhill on 15 March 1843 and is seen
below with his wife, Emily.
Bernice has
established genealogical links with both surviving branches of the
Barden family still living in the village.
Below is Alfred John Barden born in Bow Brickhill in 1856, with his wife
Mary Ann (nee Pateman, of Houghton Regis). Sally Edwards is great granddaughter of Alfred
and Mary.
