Church Hall Refurbishment
The Church Hall roof has now been replaced with the aid
of grant funds from a charity which derives its income from landfill
waste taxes.
The old roof was covered with wooden shingles and the
roof structure would not support the weight of any alternative material.
So new cedar shingles, from renewable resources in British
Columbia, Canada, have been fitted by a specialist roofer we found on
the internet! The roof is guaranteed for 50 years and should last
for 70.
You can contact him, Colin E Carter (seen below), by
telephoning 01778 570808.
The view above is of the hall from the rear and shows work in the
progress. Below is the new roof from the front when the shingle
replacement work had been completed.
