The weather was not kind and in heavy rain
the children, teachers and parents walked up the hill
where Father Christmas paused in his busy schedule to
give them encouragement.
Amongst those in splendid period costume
was this gentleman.
The assembled company queued in the rain
to enter All Saints, and it was was standing room only
in the church.
The Rector introduced the service which
was then conducted by the teachers and pupils
Traditional carols were sung as well as a
medley of Victorian songs. The children explained
the origins of many of our Christmas traditions and led
the prayers.
The staff distinguished themselves with a
fine redition of "The Twelve Days of
Christmas".
And like any birthday the school had a birthday cake!
