YOUTH ON SHOW
After a wonderful twelve years of existence and some great shows, sadly the group no longer meets.  It closed formally in 2005.

Youth on Show was a theatre group specifically for local children aged between 5 - 18 years.

Its aim was to give the children the opportunity to "tread the boards" and experience the thrill of performing in front of a live audience.

Past Productions
2004 Greasy
2001 A Good Knights Work
2000 Dracula Spectacula

1999 Alice in Wonderland
1998 Puss in Boots
1997 Cinderella
1996 Jack and The Beanstalk
1995 Old Time Music Hall
1994 A Christmas Carol
1994 Rumplestiltskin
1993 The Wizard of Oz
1992 Peter Pan
Older members were also offered the opportunity of developing skills behind the scenes. Several help with choreography, make-up, lighting, even writing or adapting scripts.

It was fun, and each individual has to work hard: learning lines, songs, dances and stage moves. Each member had to be committed and work as part of a team.

Youth on Show as very much a community organisation, depending heavily on the support of local adults for all aspects of its organisation and productions.

In between each production Youth on Show would organise workshops (make-up, dance, drama, etc.), parties, talent contests and the odd game of rounders.

The pictures on this page are from the March 2004 production of Greasy.

The village and community is very sad to learn of the demise of Youth on Show.  We thank the children and the adults who worked so hard over so many years to bring such great fun to performers and audiences alike.
